The Beginning
A Personal Struggle That Never Left
From a young age, I struggled with excess hair and skin concerns, trying everything I could to feel more comfortable and confident. That experience has stayed with me ever since and quietly shaped the way I see both myself and others.
The Turning Point
Nursing, Chester & A Moment That Shaped Everything
Becoming a nurse took me to Chester, where I trained and developed clinically. During my Botox and filler training, something happened that has always stayed with me — a doctor casually used my lips as an example and suggested I could benefit from filler.
"I remember the moment clearly. Not because I agreed, but because it made me realise how easily perception can be influenced in those environments. I was grateful for my own sense of self in that moment, because it made me aware of how different things could have been if I had simply accepted it without question."
That moment stayed with me, and it shaped something deeper. It strengthened my belief in doing things properly — in creating a space where people feel supported rather than shaped, and where choices come from confidence and self-respect, not pressure or expectation.
The Conviction
Ethics at the Heart of Everything
I became determined to practice responsibly — to help people feel empowered in their own decisions, rather than encouraged to change themselves to fit someone else's idea of beauty or society's expectations.
I wanted to build something I could be ethically proud of — to make my mark through genuine care and responsibility, not by following trends or simply creating another business.
Life & Motherhood
When Everything Changed at Once
Then life shifted in every direction at once. COVID hit, I moved from specialist coronary care into intensive care, and at the same time I was becoming a mum to two little ones. Everything felt full — work, home, responsibility, emotion — and the idea of starting something of my own had to sit quietly in the background.
But it never really left me.

Taking the Chance
With gentle encouragement from my husband and a few people close to me, I eventually decided to take a chance. I rented my first treatment room, invested in my Lynton laser, and slowly began building something that felt truly mine.
Today, Caldwell Cosmetics is my full-time at-home clinic — something built with care, experience, and heart. It reflects not just what I do, but why I do it: helping people feel comfortable, confident, and empowered in their own skin.
